Making Tru-Dry (part 2)

Radio Frequency Kiln Dried timbers exiting the kiln.

A kiln charge being removed from the kiln.

During the drying process timbers are under vacuum allowing us to boil water at approximately 90 ° F. Additionally, a compressive loading system puts 250,000 pounds of pressure on top of the timbers as they dry to help maintain straightness.

Our unmatched quality control further ensures that only the best timbers make it through the drying process. Just as we assess our timbers before drying, we reexamine them afterwards to confirm the quality meets our stringent requirements.

We are also heat-treat the timbers in every charge, ensuring they meet industry standards for HT timbers. (Tru-Dry is HT stamped, as well.)
