Heating With Radio Frequency

Aligned water molucules after the application of radio frequency.

Radio Frequency causes water molecules to align during the drying process.

Heating with RF is considered volumetric heating. Volumetric heating refers to heating an entire volume of space (in this case, that space is filled with timbers) simultaneously. Conventional heating methods heat from the outside by transferring great amounts of heat from the surface of a product to it's core. This is a long, and often, destructive process for large timbers.

By heating our timbers evenly, we are able to achieve an even moisture content distribution from the surface to the core of each piece. Even and effectively RF drying will absolutely minimize drying defects commonly found in conventionally dried, or green timbers.
