Quality Control: Sorting After Drying

After the drying process is completed each piece is measured individually for moisture content. The pieces must meet our stringent structural and appearance requirements to be considered Tru-Dry, creating a peerless product. Each piece of stock goes over our timber sorting line where nine moisture readings are taken for every lineal foot -- a 10 foot long piece will have 90 moisture content readings!

Measurements are recorded and compared to previous entries giving us a very large collection of statistical information about our drying process.
